Mountain Valley Claims Class B Crown

Mountain Valley is back on-top of Maine's Class B high school football heap. The Falcons blew-out Morse 52-7 Saturday to capture it's third Class B high school football championship in five years. Click here for game story.

John Bapst Wins First Title Since 1976

Coming into Saturday's Maine Class C high school football championship, John Bapst had three state football titles to its credit, but none ever came-on the football field. John Bapst was proclaimed state champs in 1964, 1965 and 1976 before the state playoff system was created. Saturday the Crusaders (11-1) beat previously unbeaten Winthrop (11-1) 21-14 to win the Class C title. Click here for game story.

100 Years of Family Football in Maine

When Winthrop takes the field Saturday to play John Bapst for Maine's Class C high school football championship, junior safety and tailback Riley Cobb will continue the tradition of the Cobb family playing for the Ramblers. Maine High School Football Scoreboard - Semifinals

Bonny Eagle will go after its fourth Maine Class A high school football championship in five years next week. The defending state champs advanced with a 20-0 shutout of Thornton Academy on Saturday. The Scots claimed the Maine largest classification championship in 2004, 2005 and last year.

Post-season experience paid-off for defending Maine Class A high school football champ Bonny Eagle on Saturday. The Scots (8-2) advanced to the Western Class A final by upsetting top-ranked and formally unbeaten Deering (9-1). The victory avenged Bonny Eagle's regular season 29-28 loss to Deering. Next week the Scots will play Thornton Academy for the right to return to the state title game.Click here for a game story.

Maine High School Football Scoreboard - Week 9

Mt. Desert Island nearly didn't make it out its opening round of the Maine high school football Pine Tree Conference Class B game against Waterville. Mt. Desert Island moved on the semifinals thanks to its defense that shutdown a two-point conversion with one-tenth of a second to play to preserve a 28-27 win. Mt. Desert Island improves to 7-1 while Waterville ends its season at 3-5.Click here to read a game recap.
