Foxcroft Academy Sheds Bridesmaid Moniker in Maine Class C Title Game
After back-to-back losses in Maine's 2005 and 2006 Class C title games, Foxcroft Academy finally broke through on Saturday beating Boothbay Region 26-8 for the 2007 crown.
Foxcroft has now appeared in five of the last six Class C title games, winning its second title in the last five years.

For the First Time Since 1985, Gardiner Reigns Atop Maine's B Class
The Gardiner Tigers used great field position on Saturday to dethrone Maine's defending Class B champ Mountain Valley 21-14. It was Gardiner's first state championship since 1985.

Bonny Eagles Wins Another Maine Class A Trophy
Two of the best Maine high school football teams in the last four years met once again Saturday to decide the state's Class A championship.
For the third time in the last four years it was Bonny Eagle taking home the title by beating defending 2006 champ Lawrence 34-14 before 7,200 fans at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. The win snapped Lawrence's 22-game win streak.
This one was never in doubt as Bonny Eagle raced out to a 27-0 halftime lead.
